StarCraft II Clan Leagues Open Their Doors |
|
|
| |

We at RTS League are proud to announce the launch of the StarCraft II competitions open to all the clans out there!
League Format
As we are well aware of the fact that different players prefer different tournament formats, we have prepared two league setups for you to choose from - one based on 3v3 team games, and the other on 1v1 duels. You just choose the version better suited to your clan's tastes (or you don't choose at all and take part in both) and sign up through the forms below.
Here is the look at the competitions - following signups, clans are separated according to their estimated skill level into balanced divisions, in which they play each other in a series of one-week rounds. Further proceedings differ according to the play system:
3v3 Clan League
Each match consists of two games with the default setting being 3v3, an option best promoting teamplay skills and showing the true team spirit of every clan. After the group stage, standard BO3 playoff decides the top clans of the season.

1v1 Clanwars League
Every round is divided into four 1v1 matches, each battle taking place on a set time and featuring different players, determining overall individual qualities of the clans. Playoffs then bring BO5 matches with increased number of games played, making clans prove their worth before they take their place as the best teams of the season.

Match Casting
We are, of course, also preparing grounds for match casting and VoDs to make your epic battles of wit and prowess famous across the globe, letting the whole world know who they should worship as gods of skill or praise as masterminds of ingenuity.
So, is your clan ready to make history?
Signup
Signups are open until Friday, 17th September, and the first seasons will start on Monday, 20th September.

Extreme Chalenge 2v2 Tournament - AoCZone |
|
|
| |
It has taken some time but the moment is finally here - AoCZone is hosting its first tournament. After seeing many standard leagues and competitions, it is time for something new, unusual and exciting, and as you can guess from the title, it is not going to be easy, either.
Extreme Challenge is set on entirely new random maps, which are not only far from the ordinary but are also very (or should I say "extremely") difficult. Some of them have been dug up from old map packs, fixed and edited, while others have been created from scratch. Ten of the best ones (based on players' approval) have then been selected for the tournament.
The Tournament will start with Group Stage where each round will be played with a different map. To make things even more extreme, civilisations will be picked randomly (and then switched for the sake of fairness). The best teams will then advance to Final Stage in which they will be given the opportunity to choose their own EC Home Map (you can view the EC Maps here)
The winners will receive Voobly rating points - 45 for the winners, 35 for 2nd place and 25 for third place - and a banner acknowledging them of being highly versatile players. The sign-ups have just been opened and will stay open until 17th September or until all the 32 spots are filled. So, if you have the courage, rise to the challenge and test your skills in an unknown territory where you will need to devise new strategies, and most importantly, constantly improvise.

With several clanleagues taking place, time is ripe for a 1v1 event and the Latin American clan DyT has just announced the opening of 64 slots for a single-elimination tournament. Any players of any level can sign up and compete for the first 3 spots awarded by Voobly rated points (75 for the winner, 45 and 20 for 2nd and 3rd place).
The first round may seem a tad harsh since only 1 arabia game will determine the winner, however, later we will get to see best-of-3, best-of-5 and even best-of-7 matches which are bound to bring some good records. The final will also be restricted civilation-wise - each player can pick a particular civilisation only one time.
